MP condemns train service fiasco

MP for South West Hertfordshire, David Gauke, condemned the failure of London Midland to run a proper service. There were widespread cancellations on Sunday, 6 September due to staff shortages.
'It is clearly unacceptable for London Midland not to run an adequate Sunday service' commented David. 'People wanting to travel from Berkhamsted and Tring have been left without a service at very short notice because London Midland have been unable to staff their trains. This appears to be an example of gross incompetence and I am writing to London Midland seeking an explanation.'
