Finance Bill: Collective enfranchisement by leaseholders

David Gauke tables an amendment to remove an ambiguity where the Bill refers to a ‘right to enfranchise company’ – a definition not currently legally in effect – which can cause leaseholders to be overcharged stamp duty when they purchase the freehold.
